///1. Do weekly resolutions for 12 weeks in a row.

(12/12)

Began: Week of 3/3/08
Finished: Week of 5/19/08

I highly recommend this; write three goals for the week of things you want to accomplish, write them down where you will see them. I recommend adding one fun one just so you don't get demoralized. I intend to resume this in universidad.

2. Participate in 100 snapshots

3. Read a mystery, /a non-fiction, a science, /Pulitzer Prize winner, /a classic, /a Gossip Girl, a sci-fi, /a sad book, a self-help, /a graphic novel

Sad book: Completed!
4/7/08
Night by Elie Weisel
An account of the holocaust's concentration camps. Probably the saddest book I've ever read, but really more horrifying. Everyone should read it.

Non-Fiction: Completed!
8/3/08
Madam Secretary by Madeleine Albright
One of the most inspiring books I have ever read. At a hefty 664 pages, it admittedly can become exhausting, but I feel like this is a sign of good writing - Albright communicates the incredibly hard and never ending work that foreign relations presents, while still presenting a message of hope and responsibility. Thanks to this book, I have been inspired to enter work in preventing genocide and human rights crimes. Yay, activism!

Gossip Girl: Completed!
8/5/08
Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
Okay, so I needed an intellectual break after the hefty Albright book, so sue me! It was exactly the cerebral vacation I was needing, so now on to tackle... 1000+ page long Infinite Jest??
Maybe some Party Monster or David Sedaris before I take that plunge!

Graphic Novel: Completed!
2/11/09
Watchmen by Alan Moore
Okay, guys, I've never read a comic book before but seriously, this is so good. Like, SO good. I read it in two days, couldn't put it down. Oh man.

A Classic: Completed!
3/25/09
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Pretty much amazing. Took a long, long time, even though it wasn't that long. Just very... Russian. Lol, good thing that's my major, right?

A Pulitzer Prize Winner: Completed!
3/16/10
The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
I would recommend it. Interesting, with a really awesome and hilarious writing style. Not recommended if you don't know Spanish though, Diaz throws a lot of random Spanish in just normal narrative that you kind of need to understand.

A Mystery: Completed!
12/20/10
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson
I read this book really quickly, and it was entertaining, but I don't think mysteries are my genre.

///4. Go camping with friends.

Completed!
7/18/08

Rafting down the Colorado with Hannah, Gaby, Maggie, Emma, and Jenny. Great times and tons of nasty Hurricane had by all, vomit on face had by Emma.

5. Go on the scariest ride offered at the amusement park.

///6. Learn to cook something totally awesome.

Completed!
3/28/08
Paella yumm

7. Have a spa day.
